Description Cadiz Food Tour

A gastronomic journey through Cádiz that you won’t easily forget. The old town of Jerez de la Frontera will be our meeting point and nerve center during the first days of our trip; there we will stay at the magnificent Hotel Palacio María Luisa. We will explore Sanlúcar de Barrameda, an exceptional city with the best sunsets in all of Andalusia. We will uncover the secrets of a unique cultivation, the cultivation of “navazos,” an almost exclusive system in this area that produces a truly exceptional product. We will get to know the best “tabancos” and “tablaos” in Jerez, where we will understand why this city is the international cradle of flamenco. We will visit what, for us, is the best winery in Jerez, González Byass, where many surprises await us. We will discover “despesques,” an ancient and exclusive fishing art in the marshes of Jerez; on the ground, in the embers of the bushes in the salt pans, we will roast the captured pieces. We will enjoy an unforgettable meal at Aponiente, where Ángel León investigates and cooks how to nourish ourselves from the sea. After a boat ride through the bay of Cádiz, we will delight in its streets with delicious tapas of “chicharrones” and fried foods.

We will head towards the Sierra de Grazalema, where we will visit some of its white villages; there we will get to know and taste some of the best goat cheeses in Europe, those of the “payoya” breed. From there, we will head to the coast, to the fabulous Zahara Beach, where we can enjoy spectacular views of the coast. We will discover everything about the “Almadraba” Tuna, one of the jewels of world gastronomy. If weather conditions permit, we will attend the “Levantá,” where divers and fishermen strive to capture the best pieces with one of the most sustainable fishing techniques on the planet. In our visit to Barbate, El Campero cannot be missed. We will end this magnificent journey with a visit to Vejer, one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, but also famous for its “ventas” (traditional eateries), which we will not miss the opportunity to visit to enjoy the best products.

Our gastronomic expeditions never include transportation to/from the Welcome Point. This is because some travelers prefer to arrive a few days earlier or depart a bit later after the journey, thanks to the total freedom of choice we provide.

It is very important that you do not purchase your flights or organize the rest of the trip until we confirm the journey. Until a minimum number of participants is reached, we cannot guarantee the realization of the trip.

Of course! Yes, we are a travel agency and will be delighted to help you obtain your tickets or organize private transportation from your specified location to the Welcome Point.

The trip includes all transfers and internal transportation, including the transfer to/from the nearest airport (Airport transfers included except for trips less than 3 days), necessary transportation during activities, accommodation in a single-use room with bed and breakfast, all meals and beverages enjoyed as per the itinerary, and all specified activities.

We are a gastronomic society, so throughout the entire trip, we will eat and drink very well. All our activities and the restaurants we will visit are focused on the enjoyment of all participants. We spare no expense in both the quantity and quality of products.

Of course! It doesn’t matter whether you come with your partner, family, or friends.

Our expeditions are for gastronomy enthusiasts, regardless of any other factors such as age.

Get in touch with us at [email protected] and let us know which destination you want to book. To make a reservation, you will need to make a deposit of 30% of the trip cost. Three weeks before departure, you will need to pay the remainder; otherwise, we cannot guarantee your spot.

You can make the payment for the trip through a bank transfer.

You can cancel at no cost up to 15 days before the start of the trip. In case of cancellation with less than 15 days’ notice, a 50% charge of the trip cost will be applied for administrative expenses.
