The heritage of Spain in the art of curing meat.

The heritage of Spain in the art of curing meat is a rich and longstanding tradition that has deeply influenced the country’s culinary identity. Spaniards have mastered the skill of curing meat, turning it into a culinary art form that is celebrated globally. The process involves preserving and enhancing the flavor of various meats, most notably ham, through a meticulous curing and aging process. Beyond iberian ham, Spain boasts a variety of cured meats, each with its own regional nuances. Chorizo, salchichón, and lomo are among the other popular cured meat products. The tradition is deeply rooted in regional and local practices, with different areas of Spain contributing their unique flavors and techniques to the art of curing.

The tour includes private transportation in a premium car with a private driver from Barcelona, Girona, or Tarragona. It also includes visits to a cured meat-drying house and a craft beer factory, both guided by experts in each establishment. Additionally, two tastings are included, one at each factory, providing enough to cover a lunch.

This culinary tour is completely private, personalized, and exclusive for those who book them, as long as they are tours for a minimum of two people. If you wish to do it individually, please contact [email protected], and we will send you a proposal.

Our tours are private and personalized, but adapting to vegetarians or vegans may not be feasible, as we will be visiting a cured meat factory with limited alternative products for tastings. However, if you are vegetarian and genuinely wish to visit this location, please send us an email at [email protected] and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

If you are unable to attend your tour reservation and you inform us with at least 72 hours’ notice, we will refund 80% of the amount. If you notify us with less than 72 hours’ notice, we will refund 50% of the amount, or we will do our best to try to find another date for the tour.

Our tour includes the tasting of at least 9 different preparations, generally 3 in each bar we visit, although the distribution may vary if the customer requests it. In each bar, you will have the option to order at least one alcoholic drink (it will be two if we haven’t finished the tapas after the first one) to choose from house wine, beer, vermouth, or another non-alcoholic beverage. We don’t want people to leave our tours feeling hungry or thirsty, so we are pretty generous with our customers’ consumptions.

Yes, people of all ages can attend the activity. In the case of minors, they must be accompanied by a guardian, and alcoholic beverages will not be served to them. Children under 9 years old will not be charged, although the drinks they have must be paid for separately.

The ride from Barcelona to the first facility stop is approximately one hour from the city center.

What our customers say

A 100% amazing tapas tour in Barcelona. We booked the Tapas Tour experience with this company, and it couldn't have gone better. They took us to places away from the crowded tourist areas, and all the bars we visited were very special and authentic. The quality of the tapas surprised us. What we liked the most was the guide; we ended up becoming friends and exchanging phone numbers. Highly recommended. 100%

Jose Manuel

We booked a private tapas tour and enjoyed every moment of it. Diego took excellent care of us, and we had the opportunity to sample exquisite tapas and wine. It was so fantastic that we also scheduled a winery visit with them. They took us to a magnificent bodega where we had a memorable tour with a guided tasting paired with a delicious lunch just for us.
